Aker was established with the goal to help men to look their best every day of every year.

And it all started as an unfulfilled personal need. I have always enjoyed looking after myself and skincare, for me, is a big part of that. However, I always found it incredibly frustrating that in winter, my skin would be dry and tight and in summer oily and sensitive. Why? What's going on?

On a sunny London afternoon it hit me. We don't wear the same clothes in every season; we change according to the seasons. Why should skincare be any different? A good bit of googling confirmed my suspicions about my own skin – research shows that the climate has a significant impact on the look and feel of your skin.

At the end of 2019 Aker was born with a focus on skincare tailored to the seasons. I knew what was important to me and that any company worth its salt in the 21st century needed to put sustainability at its core. Aker is by no means perfect, but in every decision, I put sustainability at the forefront.

I also don't think that men should be patronised when it comes to skincare. Firstly, no more dumbass masculine clichés in the marketing, please. And secondly, a focus on full transparency into what goes into the products and why. That is why we use natural ingredients that are proven to work. I believe guys want to understand the products they use and will make their own decisions accordingly.

Aker is for men who want skincare that is looking forward, built around quality and honesty. We shouldn't settle for less when it comes feeling good and maintaining the health of our bodies largest organ – the skin. I'm always happy to chat, so feel free to drop me an email anytime.
